Are you telling me this car has the same gear shift as the 2005 toyota camry?

I apologize for providing the wrong link. I was search for actual Pics and made an error. Here...

 

open up the center console (where the aux 12 V is), and get a grip on the plate that covers the shifter area. just pull up on it, disengaging the clips. On the shifter itself, there are a couple clips holding the cover to it... just use a screw driver to pry it up. note that this step is not entirely necessary to get the bulb out, but helps you see where the bulb actually is. on the driver's side of the shifter, you should see a blue coated wire going up into the bulb. if you are very dexterous and flexible, you can try to get your fingers up there to twist the socket for the bulb out, or use pliers.
