Toyota Camry: car alarm..disengage switch in the car..cant drive

Resolved Question:

I have a Toyota Camry 1999 and the car alarm will not shut off. I have searched for the disengage switch in the car but cannot locate it. The dealership is no help over the telephone and I can't drive the car to the dealership because it will not start. Right now I am only able to stop the alarm by taking the cable off the battery. Do you have any other suggestions?

Do you have any other suggestions?

If this is Factory Installed Alarm

You should be able to DisArm by
Unlocking Door with Key or Remote (turn key 2 times to unlock)
Opening Trunk

OR

TRY:

Disconnect the Positive Battery Cable
Open Driver Door & LEAVE Open
Turn Ignition Switch to On position & LEAVE On
Reconnect Positive Battery Cable
Alarm may sound for a few seconds
Start engine

If the above does not work, then the Security System needs to be tested

Once I get it started and the alarm is disarmed is it a once time shot to start and drive to the repair shop.

If the above procedure DisArms the Alarm, the "Arming" will depend on how you Lock your vehicle.
Using the Remote or Key will Arm the Alarm

No Arm procedure
When Parking
Shut off Engine & Lock Doors with Door Panel Lock/Unlock Button
Open Driver Door & "Manually" Lock the Driver door with the Door Button (not the Door Panel Electric Button

Close driver Door
