1996 toyota avalon: factory anti..manual(closing hood/trunk/doors)

This answer was rated:

1996 toyota avalon; After reconnecting battery terminals the factory anti-theft
has been activated and cannot be reset. Have tried the instructions in the manual
(closing hood/trunk/doors) in varying sequences to no avail.

Try:
Disconnect the Positive Battery Cable only
Open Driver Door & LEAVE Open
Turn on Ignition & LEAVE On
Reconnect Positive Battery Cable
Horn may sound for a couple seconds
Start vehicle

If that does not work

Find the BLUE / WHITE (-) wire located in the 11 PIN Connector in the Driver Kick Panel / Door Boot
Ground the BLUE / WHITE (-) wire

This will DisArm the Factory Alarm, until the ground is removed
