How do you remove the serpintine belt on a 2005 Toyota Camry 4 cyl 2.4l?

To aid in the removal of the serpintine belt, it is recommended that you use a special tool - Drive Belt Tensioner Tool - you can rent this tool from any local parts store.

  • REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
  • REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
  • REMOVE ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
  • REMOVE ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD W/BRACKETgraphic
  • Remove the 3 bolts and control rod.
  • REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING STAY NO.2 RH

  • REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET NO.2 RH

  • REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELTgraphic
  • Slowly turn the belt tensioner clockwise for more than 3 seconds , and remove the drive belt
