Changed battery in 97 Land Cruiser and cant get TDS alarm to cut off. The LED on the left of the dash is flasing fast. I changed the battery before and was able to turn the alarm off with the 3 button fob but it doesn't work this time.

Try putting the key into the cylinder and turn 2 clicks and then press the red flashing button in/out FAST 8-10 times till it chirps or the alarm stops.
Let me know.
Not sure what exactly did it but I did what you said and then the LED changed the way it was flashing. I then turned the key off, the door locks unlocked as they usually do when the ignition is turned off. I then turned the key back on and the LED went out. I was then able to crank the car. Thanks.
This is common when the battery dies or is changed, I just gave you a work around rather than taking it to the Dealer.

One more issue though. The 3 button remote doesn't work. The remote has a big red button on the opposite end away from the key, a small black button in the middle and a small green button on the end near the key. The little red lights on the end of the remote flicker when I hold the buttons down.
There could be one of a few problems. The alarm reciever could be bad and not detecting the signal.(I dont think this would be the case though)
The battery or the remote itself is bad and not sending out a strong enough or no signal at all. (just because the light is flashing doesnt mean a signal is transmitting).
This is probably the case and the only place to get one is from the Dealer, They can easily test this also to see if it is transmitting a signal.
