2000 Toyota Avalon remove ignition switch

Resolved Question:

I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon, when you go to start it the key just turn in the cylinder and don't start the car. I think the bar has broken from the back of the cylinder. I need to know how to remove the ignition switch?

Rotate the key to the "ACC" position and look for a small hole in the bottom of the lock cylinder housing, the cylinder release pin is inside the hole, with a small metal rod push the release pin and pull the cylinder out.
