2002 Highlander: starting is raining

Resolved Question:

I have a 2002 Highlander that has intermintent starting problems. The starter still sounds okay, but it does not crank enough to start the car. It happens more frequently when it is raining.
Does this sound like a problem with the starting system or just a sparatic electrical short?

There is no way to be positive until it happens more frequently. It sounds like the starter contacts are going bad.

Start with having the battery tested to eliminate that possibility.
