2002 Toyota Camry. Engine starts fine but idles very low when

Customer Question

2002 Toyota Camry.
Engine starts fine but idles very low when cold. Keeps low idle and Stalls after warming up. One "Mechanic" changed the spark plugs, battery and Mass Air Flow sensor - which he said was the 'idle sensor'. I had my friend take his car and bring it back home after that. Please advise what to do now.

Was the Idle Sensor replaced?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes - the idle sensor was replaced. I just sent to purchase some cleaner for the throttle plate and sutff because there is a lot og sticky goey deposits on and around it.

Since it has been replaced the next step would to clean the throttle and from what you stated about the build up that would be the next best thing to do.

if that does not fix the problem let me know and we will keep going

Cleaning solved the problem

That is good news. If it did not fix the problem, then doing test to find the problem is not fun.
