That really depends on a few things.. like year, model, and engine size.

Also, which code did it give you pointing to an oxygen sensor.... and which one did you change?

Normally, if the problem is corrected, the engine light will turn off by itself, though. With that in mind.. a common failure for oxygen sensors is the heater circuit, and if that part if the sensor shorts out, it could have also blown a fuse. I'm not saying that is your problem, but.. it is not uncommon to have to change a fuse along with an 02 sensor.
