HiCustomer and welcome to JustAnswer!

The manual transmission on your Tacoma does not have a dipstick. It has a filler plug on the left side of the transmission, about halfway up. Use a wrench to unscrew the plug, and use your finger or other means to determine that the lubricant is at, or near, the bottom of the plug hole. 75W-90 gear oil is recommended.

The transfer case also has a filler plug to check levels, at the rear of the case toward the right and up a few inches from the bottom.
