it only idles rough when stopped in D gear
Optional Information: 1997 Toyota Camry 4Already Tried: nothing
If it drives fine going down the road not misfiring or no check engine light comin gon see how low the idle is in gear, it is usually around 500 rpms. You can make a base rpm adjustment but should inspect the trans and engine mounts for any damage or being worn out. You can see the transmission mounts easily underneath the vehicle for any signs of seperation. A pry bar can be used to push against the other mounts to try and neutralize the concern. If it stays the same even when pushing against the mounts and they look ok you can try raising the rpms slightlty as it will affect base idle in park as well by adjusting the set screw on top of the throttle body.
