Zenith Projection TV Questions

Zenith Projection TV‘s offer a high resolution display with a widescreen effect as well as Surround Sound System. They also allow their viewers to customize the settings according to their preferences so that they can enjoy an enhanced quality of TV viewing. You can also tune in to a lot of your favorite stations effortlessly due to its high performance signal receiver. However with any other electronic, Zenith projection TV can malfunction or not work correctly. Often when this happens, questions may rise that needs answered on how to troubleshoot or fix the problems. Below are frequently asked questions on issues relating to Zenith Projection TV sets that have been answered by the Experts.

If a Zenith Projection TV has good audio but the picture is not there and turning it off and restarting helps the TV to work for a few days then the issues happen again, what could be the problem and how can it be fixed?

In many cases like this, the problem could be a bad power cord due to faulty capacitors. If this is the case, the best course of action would be to contact an Expert to service the television.

What could cause a Zenith Projection TV to shut off forty seconds after it’s turned on, and the red light blinks followed by the temp light when it shuts off

In some cases the lamp inside of the TV can fail and could require a new lamp. Various electronic stores sell the replacement lamp. Usually, these lamps could run for three to five years on an average.

Is it possible to install a new lamp on a Zenith Projection TV without a technicians help?

Most of the time, a technician may not be needed if there is enough knowledge on how to replace the lamp. Many electronic stores sell the replacement lamp. A person could visit “Do it yourself” sites online for additional help.

What could cause the auto convergence on a Zenith Projection TV to not work properly, and the red, green, and blue tint seems to unaligned as well as the screen looks to be bent in the center, top and bottom?

It could be that the convergence circuit inside the Zenith projection unit has failed. However, this kind of a failure is not very unusual. These convergence IC chips tend to go bad and stop working after they have been used over a period of time. In most cases, it is the heat that causes these chips to go bad.

If a Zenith Projection TV has stopped working after a power surge what is the problem if the TV made a popping noise first?

In some cases, the power supply seems fail which causes the TV to not power. But, in some cases, it’s always better to check the fuse at first. A blown fuse could also cause such problems to arise. If the fuse has blown out, then it is likely to be a simple fix. You could unscrew and remove the entire back cover of your unit to have access to the fuse. You would find it on the board to which the power cord is plugged in. All you would have to do is install a new fuse of the same type and rating. You should be able to get that from any local hardware store. However, if this does not power up your TV, then it is probably the capacitor or the IC that have shorted, causing the popping sound to occur. In that case, there is no easy fix for this repair. You would need to replace or repair the faulty component. You can experience many different problems with your Zenith Projection TV sets. These problems could include issues like loose cable connections, poor audio/visual adjustments, magnetization problems and so on, which may disrupt your TV viewing experience. However, these problems could be fixed by mere troubleshooting. In case it doesn’t, then a professional’s help would be necessary. If you need clarification about your specific situation with respect to issues related to Zenith Projection TV sets, you may ask a TV Technician Expert to evaluate your case details and provide a technical insight.

My Mitsubishi TV seems to have trouble displaying HD until it warms up. Non-HD channels display immediately, sometimes with horizontal lines at first. After a minute or two, the HD channel will display with lots of horizontal LBES and other interference, and eventually it will display a clear picture.
I also get a message to reset the remote to Net Command, but when I pull up the menu on the remote, i dont see how to do that.

2004 Samsung HLP5685W DLP TV does turn on. Color wheel and lamp replaced 1 year ago. Plays DVDs just fine. Here's the problem, I cannot change channels. At first I get the static screen for a few seconds then just black screen, no sound. Almost like the tuner is not working. I don't suppose this TV has a tuner I can swap out? What I really need to know if this is repairable at a reasonable cost?
