For Dr Love only. I had my CMP, PSA, and urinalysis lab today. Results will take until Monday. I don't do well with labs and waiting.I've historically had a low Vitamin D ranging from 25 to 31 or so. My therapist has me on a once per week 50,000 units pill for 8 weeks. I've been on the pill for 5 weeks; however, I forgot to take this week's pill (week 5), which should have been taken Sunday - I took it tonight. Anyway ...I didn't realize the importance of Vitamin D until very recently. I've read a few online articles and summaries of medical research, but I get lost in translation. One article stated I should be between 70 and 100, at 30 I have a long way to go. I've attached a couple of recent reads.https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/05/140501075053.htmhttps://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health-conditions/prostate-cancer/I'm 54 very soon to be 55; white male; 6'1.5; 193lbs. I do not drink, smoke, take drugs outside those prescribed by medical professionals - never have. It goes without saying I exist in a chronic state of stress and anxiety over the past 10 years, but I am working to address this as quickly as possible. In addition to Vitamin D, I'm currently taking Lipitor, Pristiq, Deplin (therapist put me on Deplin in case I have a deceased ability to process folic acid) and a multivitamin. Will you help translate the importance ofVitamin D?Will the 50,000 units taken in a single application weekly have any impact on today's PSA?Should I really be at a minimum of 70 units of Vitamin D?As an aging white male with a low Vitamin D what increased risk of prostrate cancer or any type am I looking at? I understand that African American men with a low Vitamin D are at a higher risk than most, but read conflicting stats for caucasian men.Based on your experience is 50,000 units once per week the right treatment; is it safe?

I'm a 57 year old female. My 25-Hydroxy D total has been high for the past 6 months. In August it was 59 with the normal range being between 20 and 50. This month it is 54. I take daily Centrum tablet and Citracal (1000 mg Calcium and 2000 Vitamin D3). Should I be concerned about these results? Should further testing be done?
