My 20 year old son is a student at Clemson University, very

My 20 year old son is a student at Clemson University, very good student, plays sports etc. He has no other speeding or other moving violations previous to this incident. He and his roommate were driving to Easely last Friday morning. He was talking and "not paying "attention" and he received a speeding ticket. 91 in a 65 mile zone. The officer clocked him at 88 and 91??? In SC it is 6 points. I believe it is 5 in Maryland. The officer told him to come to court and they would talk about it. I e-mailed a traffic attorney in Columbia, he advised him to go to court and if he didn't feel comfortable then he would go with/for him and we would pay him the fee. Our questions: 1. Speeding is misdemeanor in SC. My son desparately wants to attend medical school will this be a problem? 2.) Our insurance, I have several boys.... I know they will be notified. 3.) What happens to his driving record in Maryland? I read that Maryland may or may not give him the points? 4.)He wanted to know if defensive driving school in lieu of any ramifications in Maryland is an option. He would take it over Christmas break. 5.) SHould I get an attorney to go? WHat is the best way to minimize the damange please? Thank you

Three years ago I got a flying under the influence, I tested .05 when you're supposed to be under .04. It's not considered a dui and doesn't compound because of those nor does it count against future dui's. However, since I had enough dui's to have a restriction on my license that states use of drugs or alcohol invalidates my license, the department of public safety cancelled my license iminicable to public safety for three and require three years of ignition interlock to get it back. Is this right?

I am a resident of GA and I rear-ended another car in St.

I am a resident of GA and I rear-ended another car in St. Louis, MO while driving a rental car on my company insurance. We were both standing on the red traffic signal, when my foot slipped off the break and my car barely touched the car in front. There were no visible damages to the two cars. The other party kept shouting and asking for my insurance. He said he called 911 but when no one arrived for 30 min, and he kept harassing me asking for my driver licence and insurance, I called 911 and cops arrived in 10 min. The cops looked at the two cars and said that there were no damages but the other person insisted on filing a report and said that he will take insurance claim. The cop clearly stated that he will mention in his report that there are no damages to either cars. I took multiple pictures of my car and the other party's car.A few days later, the other party left 2 voice mails asking for ~$350 in damages and his insurance company also called me but I did not reply to them. Later, I got an email from my rental company's claim representative and I gave her a statement of what happened over the phone that she recorded and took notes. I also sent her the pictures of my rental car and his car, both showing no damages.2 days later, I received a letter from the St. Louis court that the third party has sued me for damages.I have a legal plan from my employer that will cover all my legal fee if I plan to fight the case in the court.Additional information: I did have 3 minor incidents in past 2 years when I was at fault and that has already caused my insurance go up by 30%.What is the best way for me to proceed?1. Should I fight in the court? If I win, what do I get? If I lose, what do I lose? What will be the impact on my driver license in either case.2. If I should fight, should I use my legal service plan or should it be my company's car insurance company paying for the legal fee.2. Should I simply pay the other party $350 from my pocket. What will be the impact on my driver license in that case as the accident is already reported.

I did not know that. Can he do that and just pull me over cause he recognized me?? My license was restricted a few weeks prior to that when I check the status. Has been restricted and have had the interlock device in my vehicle for 2 yrs now.

I received a 89-4A traffic ticket in MA on 8/17/16 for

I received a 89-4A traffic ticket in MA on 8/17/16 for unsafe lane change. The cause for the unsafe lane change was a blown tire which caused me to swerve. The officer was in the car in front of me. He put on his lights and we both moved to the side of the road. He didn't want to know why I swerved. He gave me the ticket at 12:34PM. I then called AAA on my cellphone for a tow (no spare-call logged at 12:51PM). The tow truck came and took the car to a tire dealer (I have the tow truck receipt) where I waited three hours for a new tire (Tire receipt). Should I plead not guilty and extenuating circumstances?JA: Because traffic laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?Customer: MassJA: Have you talked to a lawyer yet?Customer: I have notJA: Anything else you think the lawyer should know?Customer: I don't think so
