I own a NICE 2006 Chevy Malibu SS with the 3.9 V6. Car has

Good Morning:I own a NICE 2006 Chevy Malibu SS with the 3.9 V6. Car has ONLY 42,000 miles on it. Last week my temperature gauge buried itself below the C and shortly thereafter the check engine light came on. My mechanic put in a new temperature gauge sending unit. About 15 minutes into my ride home the same thing happened all over again. So next morning I'm back at the mechanic's shop and he felt it could have been a faulty new part so he replaced the sending unit again. This time it lasted 3 days before the same condition occurred yet again. I have yet to return to the mechanic as I've been working from home. I have lost faith in this mechanic that I have used for @ 30 years. Any suggestions on what you feel continues to trigger the sending unit going bad?Thank you,Ed

Jim Chappell ...... New Edlebrock 600 carb put on top of a new 350 crate engine in my 1981 corvette. At cold temps (2000 rpms), I letIdle for a minute or two then hit the excel pedal to bring rpms to about 800. That works fine. Reving the engine is great. However, when I start to drive the engine stalls, stutters, etc. Improves as I make my way to 180 degrees. My mechanic can not find the problem. Help Assistant: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue? Customer: Wow, that is about it. The car is worthless if I can't drive it because it stalls, hesitates, etc. Jim

2002 Chevy astro van AWD. NO Front or rear heat. I have proper vacuum, both heater core hoses are cold.JA: Have you checked the coolant level? Have you checked to make sure the thermostat is working?Customer: This is a long time of not working. The rear used to work keeping it somewhat warm, but now not at all in 7degF. The coolant level was down. I filled it yesterday, but no difference.JA: Are you fixing your Astro yourself? What have you tried so far?Customer: Yes, trying to. I had replaced the 6 way valve last year, replaced the radiator earlier this year due to leak in plastic tank. There is no leaky smell in the heater core area, no dampness in pass side floor. The top heater hose from engine is warm to hot.JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?Customer: I would like to know about if this could be a water pump issue, or how to tell how to check if it is blockage, or how to bypass this control valve to get this heat running.
