I am loosing coolant. I am not sure if there is a leak near the coolant tank. Only one time did I find coolant on the ground but thought I saw some drips coming from behind the tank. Also am not sure if there is coolant in the crankcase. When I check the dipstick the liquid on the stick does not appear to be all oil but am not sure.JA: How old are the hoses? And have you tested the actual mix of your coolant?Customer: The original hoses. It is a 2011 Chevy Aveo. I am using a 50/50 mix per the manual.JA: Are you fixing your Aveo yourself? What have you tried so far?Customer: Just monitoring the coolant loss. I am not familiar with auto repairs.JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?Customer: I thought I felt some coolant on the outside bottom of the coolant tank.

I have a 2002, 2500 Chevy*****truck. HD. It has 260,000 miles on it. This is something that has just started. When I completely let up on the gas, coming up to a stop, or going down a hill, the engine sounds like it is revving up, but the tach doesn't show it. If I tap the gas pedal, it goes back into gear. Would this be a transmission problem, or maybe a transfer case issue?

I have a 1981 El Camino with a rebuilt standard automatic

I have a 1981 El Camino with a rebuilt standard automatic transmission and the car has 305 crate engine with about 10,000 miles on it added over the past 15 years. The car has an edelbrock manifold on top of engine with 4 barrel starline carburetor. We run 50-50 mixture antifreeze, the car has the original mechanical fan that came on the car, no shroud, and the car has an aftermarket tempature gauge. At night and during cooler days in the 70s to low 80s, the car temperature will run 195-210. During warmer days in high 80s to low 90s, the car will run 220-225 on highway driving. During stop and go heavy traffic driving during hotter days and with running the A/C, the car will stay in the 235 range. We generally avoid heavy city traffic driving or driving the car much in 90+ degree heat. The car runs fine, had the carb and everything else new put on in the past four years. My question is - are we ok running the car in the 220-230 range without any major issues that could occur now or later on? Again, the motor is a 305 crate motor about 15-20 years old and the original owner got sick and didn't drive it very much. We did an overall restore and it is a beautiful car.

I check all fuses and relays and all are good. But still no power in that pink wire. Please help meJA: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate?Customer: There is no power at all .. I have a smell coming through my AC Vents that is hard to describe. It is almost like a rubber and gas smell. I had my AC checked and they blew out the line saying there was a little blockage. They also pressure checked the radiator for leaks and found some small oil leaks, but said none of them were dangerous. However, the smell is still there. While you are driving, you can't smell it, but when I put the car in park, the smell comes through the vents. I don't see anything leaking. The shop said I can bring it back it and try to replicate the smell, but would like some idea of what could be going on. I feel like lately I pick up a lot of smells from outside. Bought a new cabin air filter too. Please help!
