I am concerned that my 17 week old pup is getting enough

I am concerned that my 17 week old pup is getting enough nutrition because she will only eat about a 1/2 cup of food a day. I feed high quality kibble and I have tried different types of kibble, adding canned food etc. It is the same story each time. Sheeats meal or two and then returns to her picky self eating maybe 1/2 a cup a day. I am concerned that by eating less than half of what the dog food manufacturers suggest she isn't meeting the nutritional requirements growing puppy. Should I beconcerned and keep trying to get her to eat at least a cup of food a day by whatever means I can? Or should I just put her food down, give her 15 minutes and then pick it up. Repeating this until she finally eats.

My 10 yr old Northfolk terrier is having her second surgery

My 10 yr old Northfolk terrier is having her second surgery tonight for the removal Struvite stones. Her first surgery was a year and a half ago. I'm confused as to how to prevent them. The vet says it's genetic but that I should still try her on a prescription diet, but I'm reading that these types of stones are caused from urinary tract infection. She forms several of them and this time they were really big. I had started her on the prescription diet after the first surgery but it was very expensive and I wasn't crazy about the content so I started making her food at home. But now that she has it again I'm not sure if I should just exclusively give her the prescription diet long term? will it make a difference? I read about giving her cranberry pills to prevent bacteria? What is the most advisable to keep her healthy overall and also prevent the stones from recurring and more surgery? There seems to be a lot of mixed information about what to do...thanks!

When is the right time to allow a puppy to move off puppy food

When is the right time to allow a puppy to move off puppy food and onto adult food? I have 2 puppies and 4 adult dogs. The puppies are both 10 weeks old and are refusing their food now because they want the other dogs food. Is there any harm in allowing them to have the other food? They have puppy milk 3 times a day. Thanks

Our 9 year old spayed female Australian Terrier, Abby, became

Our 9 year old spayed female Australian Terrier, Abby, became very ill a few weeks ago and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. After 3 days on IV fluids she was allowed to come home in a much weakened condition, and the vet sent us home with a Royal Canin brand NO fat food. He also said it would be easy to find. (She also passed a very large palm seed while in the vets care. I don't know how she managed to swallow it, let alone pass it)Well, she's about out of the initial bag of food and I'm finding it is NOT easy to find. Niether the Petsmart or the Petco I visited carries any brand of no fat dog food. We travel constantly, in an RV, and we really need to find a solution that is readily available, and I'd like to confirm that the attending vets proclimation that she'd need no fat food for the rest of her life is reasonable. For the record, she's back to 100% normal. Either full steam ahead, or asleep. :)

I feed my dog 1 single Burger King hamburger per day. She also gets 3 cups of high grade large breed dry dog food per day. She looks forward to the Burger so I would hate to stop giving it to her but don't want to hurt her. Please advise. The dry food I use is Nutro Ultra Large Breed Adult. Is there a better dry food? Thinking of switching to 4Health
