Hi! I have a peki who is 6yrs old. For the past 3 days, I noticed the skin around his mouth and nose on the right hand side is turning pink. He isn't itching it or anything. It's just noticeable since it's all usually black. I'm not sure if that comes with age or what it could be. I haven't been giving him any medicine. He is an inside dog and just goes outside to do his business. I did take him to the groomers last Saturday so I'm not sure if maybe they didn't use clean things when they cut his hair. Thank you for all your help in advance.

American Bulldog question, my puppy is 8.5 months. I took him to a vet about a week ago for a runny nose that has a green/yellow color like humans get. He put him on anti-biotic but it still shows up on and off. Could it be allergies, or maybe something else
My maltese's eye rims on s right eye are almost entirely
My maltese's eye rims on his right eye are almost entirely pink and the rims on the left eye are black, as they should be. People are constantly saying, "He's so cute but does he have an eye infection? What's wrong around his eye?" We paid a LOT of money for him so it's very frustrating and disheartening. Can anything be done to fix the problem? I've read that people frequently tattoo their show dogs' eye rims where there may be a pigment issue, like in my pup. From what I've read, people are saying that it is not painful for them in the way that tattooing is for us. Would love some feedback on this! Thank you

My 9 monyh old husky/lab mix has developed a smooth flesh
Hello. My 9 monyh old husky/lab mix has developed a smooth flesh toned bump directly under his black nose, about the size of a tic tac. I first noticed it about a month ago, though i just figured it was a lack of pigment. However, it is certainly raised and possibly grown larger. It does not appear to have a head as a pimple, nor does it have segments like a wart. Please help. Thank you!JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the dog's name and age?Customer: Briscoe. He is 9 months oldJA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Briscoe?Customer: No. Healthy otherwise.

Hi There,Our 4 year old french bull dog has a runny nose (clear), lack of appetite, and won't drink water, generally lethargic. No cough. Won't open his mouth. Any suggestions ? His ears are full of wax and seem swollen inside. We went to our vet and he gave him ear drops and antibiotics, but both have not helped. He went for another exam today and the doctor looked down his throat and in his mouth and found nothing. We are worried our vet isn't taking the right precautions if it's Canine Influenza Virus or something more serious. He is about a week overdue for his vaccinations because he got sick right before he was supposed to be vaccinated.Would love some advice!
He's a german shepherd/malamute mix. Probably 14 years old.
He's a german shepherd/malamute mix. Probably 14 years old. He's been throwing up white foamy/kind of solid. This happened last Tuesday. He was taken to the vet and given an IV of fluids and kept inside at the vet clinic for a week. They also gave him antibiotics and nausea meds. Thought he had a heat stroke. It has been brutally hot here. Dog has always been outside in a 2 acre fenced in area with plenty of water and shade. Brought him home from vet yesterday and he's been staying in the back room of the house - keeping cool. Let out this morning while it was still cool outside and he started having the same symptoms he did when it all started. Throwing up and coming out his nose , mouth and panting heavily after no exertion. Cooled him off with the water hose and he stopped. Took him back in the house and he immediately laid down and went to sleep. Dog has no past problems - been very healthy until now. It is out in the country - not worried about being poisoned or getting into anything that would cause worry for that. Do not want him to suffer - he is use to being an outdoor dog and I'm afraid his quality of life will never be the same.JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Did you see what the dog ate?Customer: He's not been eating hardly anything. Fed him a 1/2 can of pedigree canned food this morning before being let out.JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?Customer: I'm worried about heart worms or some other condition that would require him to be penned up or kept inside. I work away from home all day and have no way of caring for him. I just happen to be on vacation this week. I can fix a place in the shed with a watercooler but I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough.
