I understand that the NHTSA has created the battery of (3) SFST for law enforcement. However, is there a scientific body that officially (or unofficially) endorses Field Sobriety Tests?? If so What is the organization's name?? It seems as thought there is a large amount of subjectivity in the SFST.

I own a 2008 Jeep wrangler. It was just recalled because the transmission fluid can overheat and ruin the transmission or cause a fire when driving in 4WD. Their solution was to install an alarm if this happens. If it does go off I have to stop immediately, put the vehicle in neutral and wait for the fluid to cool down and the alarm to go off. Is this a legitimite fix? I bought this vehicle to go off road. I no longer believe I can safely do so.
