Vizio TV won't accept any kind of direct (hard wire )

Vizio TV won't accept any kind of direct (hard wire ) input, after a lightning storm. (strangely it did not trip the surge protector). I have tried each HDMI port, ethernet, cable wire from the Xfinity X1 box. On each option I tried all three ports and each time received the same message "NO SIGNAL" I then brought in a different older model TV and attached it to the X! box with the cable wire and it worked. I later tried the amazon button on the Vizio control button and I was able to get programming through Wi-Fi. My tests showed the X1 is OK and the TV audio and video work, and the problem is the input.1. is there a way to reset my TV or is it fried?2. If it has damage, is it a costly repair?3. It it possible to run the Xifinity X1 throug Wi-Fi?

My Panasonic th-42pz700u loses its signal every few seconds.

My Panasonic th-42pz700u loses its signal every few seconds. The picture will last for about 2 seconds, then its gone for about 1-2 seconds, then back on, then back off, etc. This has just started in the last few weeks, but its not consistent. I do not have a cable box hooked up to it, just an aerial antenna.

I had Direct TV install a new receiver so that I could enjoy

I had Direct TV install a new receiver so that I could enjoy a new 4K Ultra HD TV downstairs. The mother receiver which provides the picture to my Pioneer had to be changed as well. The old Pioneer uses the three jacks - blue, green, red, and I had to get barrell connectors to connect to three jacks that transitioned to and HDMI cable into the receiver. The Direct TV tech told me to do that and I would have a picture again. Well I do but it is green mostly and red. We have had this problem before with Comcast (we switched) but it has been working fine under the previous Direct TV receiver. How can I get the correct picture? BOBJA: Can you guesstimate how old your Pioneer is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?Customer: It is 2006. Sorry, had to get it off the bottom - PDP-505CMX. a 52". I did not buy it. It came with the house I bought.JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?Customer: It was working fine until Direct TV switched to a newer receiver. He did not have barrell connectors so I bought and installed yesterday. I got the picture back but it is green and red. This has happened before though.JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?Customer: No, but to answer your question the box was swapped out on Thursday and I reconnected yesterday.

We have a 60" Samsung TV, purchased it about 9 months ago.

We have a 60" Samsung TV, purchased it about 9 months ago. Last night, while watching a recorded program from our Suddenlink DVR, the picture froze. We could not fast forward, we could not move backward on the recording. I finally turned off the DVR box and turned off the TV. I waited about 10 seconds, and then tried to turn everything back on. The DVR box came on fine. The TV initially shows app icons on the screen when I turn it on, but then the screen just goes black and we cannot see or hear anything. I checked the menu settings under picture, and it says "Picture Off", which it did not say before. It says to press a key on the remote to turn the picture back on (other than Volume, etc.), but when I do this, nothing happens. I tried factory reset on the picture, but still it will not work. I went to the YouTube App and played a video, and the video came on the screen and played just fine with good sound quality, but when I go back to TV (HDMI1 input), the screen goes black again. I checked the source input (it says HDMI1, which is correct), I checked to make sure the TV was set on the right channel to work with the DVR box (channel 3) and that was correct. I do not know what else to do to try and make the TV screen work. I am at work right now, and cannot access the TV at the moment, but I thought from my description you might have an idea of something that I could try when I get home.JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?Customer: Samsung, 60", when the screen does come on it says UHD with numbers behind it, only purchased it 9 months ago. I do not know exact model without looking at TV Manual, and I am not home at the moment.JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?Customer: The TV menu seems to work for everything except when I press my remote to try and change the "Picture Off"...then nothing happens. I do not know how it got changed to Picture Off in the first place. We were watching the screen just fine until it froze, and we have never been able to get the screen to come back on unless we are playing an App.JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?Customer: It happened last night when we were watching a recorded program from our Suddenlink DVR box.JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?Customer: Not that I can think of...
