NO Appliance Guru or Ezekiel...Im looking for a third opinion. I'm working on a Kitchen aid refrigeratorLFht1831Qf1 that is about 16 months old the complain is that is leaking water though the light fixture at the top of the refrigerator (bottom of the freezer) The ice bend in the freezer was full of ice and the evap fan was running. I pulled the Evap area cover and saw the evap coil had a strange frost pattern; the lower part of the coil had a nice even frost pattern about half the way up with the top half having no frost at all. I suspected a Freon issue so I went to the compressor area and found a very clean condensing coil, compressor running but both Hi and Low side lines were warm to the touch.

issue is side by side GE refer: zfsb25dtass. have noticed water dripping down from ice maker onto lower shelf. lands on items and freezes into a volcano. temp in freezer in middle of 2nd shelf down raises to 20F in the evening. then in the morning its like -4F. I'm thinking that it is getting warm at the top of the freezer and ice cubes start melting and then dripping down. I believe that when I dispense ice they look glossy - like wet look on the outside. I've cleaned all the lint off the coils at the rear. any thoughts on troubleshooting?JA: Can you guesstimate how old your GE is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?Customer: I gave u model bought in 2007JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?Customer: i would like 2JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?Customer: not sure how to answer
