I am 49 and have always had pretty regular periods lasting 4

I am 49 and have always had pretty regular periods lasting 4 or 5 days. Last month i missed a period, and this month my period started 9 days ago and has been heavy flow. I am traveling with my daughter and I am getting worried because it is not stopping - this is day 9 and I have heavy flow (some clotting) with no sign of stopping. I am not having any particular pains or cramping. Because I am traveling I can't go see my regular doctor and I am just wondering if I need to go in to an ER or try to get some local OB appointment (I had a previous bad experience with an undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy so I am nervous there might be some problem - but then I think maybe it is just menapause .JA: Have you been keeping a personal medical record?Customer: no - sorryJA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?Customer: no - I am generally very healthy and my periods have always been pretty regular

I have been trying to conceive with artificial insemination

Hello,I have been trying to conceive with artificial insemination (ICI and IUI) for 15 cycles (I'm in a same-sex relationship). I had an ectopic pregnancy last year and one tube was removed because of it. Today I had an ultrasound to prepare for another IUI and my RE told me that she thinks I may have an arcuate uterus. She said she didn't see it last time, but today she could see it. She said she recommends a hysteroscopy to see if there is adequate blood flow (and to rule out that this may be the reason why I haven't conceived yet). She said she may do a cut in this area to fix it. I'm really not fond of any cuts and surgery, so I'm wondering if this is standard procedure. Is this something I should be worried about? My RE said she thinks I should have this procedure before the next IUI or possible IVF. Is there a chance that this might negatively affect my fertility?

I had an ectopic pregnancy (most likely caused by clomiphene

Hello,I had an ectopic pregnancy (most likely caused by clomiphene citrate and the trigger shot) last year in May. One of my tubes was removed (even though it wasn't ruptured yet). Now I'm in the process of doing IUIs again at my RE's clinic. My RE told me that she would recommend a second-look laparoscopy to see if the other tube looks good and didn't suffer any damage from the ectopic pregnancy that was in the other tube. I'm wondering if this surgery is necessary, considering that this tube was checked by the surgeon during the removal of the other tube. It looked fine back then. I also don't have any ectopic pregnancy risk factors (no other prior surgeries or infections or anything like that).

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago.I was 6 weeks pregnant,

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago.I was 6 weeks pregnant, started bleeding and was having pains in the lower left side. I went to the doctor who send me to the hospital as he suspected wctopic pregnancy.I had a scan there and they saw a sack in the uterus.Later that day I miscarried-I passed a big clot and was bleeding for about 3 days afterwards. I had another scan a few days ago and it looked like a complete miscarriage, but they saw cysts on both ovaries 3cm on one and 4cm on another, also on the left ovary where I was having pains they saw something that might look like an ectopic pregnancy...my hcg levels on that day where only 5 hcg.Now my doctor confused me telling me that it definetely looks like you miscarried..but if your pains on the left side get worth just go to a&e..Today 2 weeks after my miscarriage I started bleeding again lightly and I still have those pains but surely they are not bad enough to go to a&e. My question is can I still be pregnant and can it be ectopic with hcg levels only 5? Could my pains relate to those cysts and why I started spotting again is it normal? Thank you

I had several faintly positive pregnancy tests over the course of 5 days followed by a negative test. I had a blood test done on Tuesday and it showed that my hCG was only 4. That afternoon, I started bleeding and it has been like heavy period. My doctor said this was a chemical pregnancy. I had my hCG rechecked on Friday and it was less than 1. However today I have abdominal pain and back ache just on the right side, as well as some shooting pains in the pelvic area. I am worried that it could actually be an ectopic pregnancy, as I read online that in rare cases ectopic pregnancy can have negative hCG tests. Does this sound like a possibility or does it sound fairly certain that it was indeed an early miscarriage? Am I just worrying for no reason?
