Hi, my name is Mark. I will be happy to help you with your question. Are the web design fees income generated by your business?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
No they are not. They are fees we pay an outside vendor to.
Expert:  Mark Taylor replied 2 months ago.

Approximately how much are the fees?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
There were split up in multiple payments. Some around $500-1000

If you purchase the website design from another company that is at risk if there is a problem the amount would be capitalized and depreciated over 3 years. Once your website is up an running you would expense the cost to maintain the site.

Ah alright. the website was already up and then we paid to have the design maintained. What type of category should we set it to?
Expert:  Mark Taylor replied 2 months ago.

This would be an expense. Website fees.
