Have a Tax Question? Ask a Tax Expert
Hi from just answer. I'mCustomer I can assist.
The problem with what you are trying to do is that you can't remove the tax lien yourself. You can have the lien satisfaction noted, but the CRA only reports. IRS could report a satisfaction, but will likely not request a correction to your credit.
The history will stay on, and you can show it as satisfied or paid or released, but it is not removed. Your explanation will be seen by creditors, and your explanation accepted or not, but the CRA won't remove the lien.
Thanks for asking at just answer. Positive feedback is appreciated. I'mCustomer
