I currently have a c corp in Arkansas. I'm moving to Florida

Customer Question

I currently have a c corp in Arkansas. I'm moving to Florida and want to set up a new company as an s corp.
I understand I will need to merge the c into the new company. Is that right?
Will there be tax consequences for the Arkansas c corp when assets are brought into the new Florida company? TY Dave
