If you are Currently On Active Duty - there is a Minimum Active Duty Service Requirement for 90 continuous days - in this case you will qualify.

See for reference

Let me know if you need any clarification this matter.

I am not active but served one year eleven months will I qualify for va loan
Expert:  Lev replied 1 year ago.

If you currently NOT on Active Duty - requirements are different...
Depending on Qualifying Wartime & Peacetime Periods - there might be different requirements.
If you were on Active Duty after 8/2/1990 - Minimum Active Duty Service Requirement woudl be

  • 24 continuous months, OR
  • The full period (at least 90 days) for which you were called or ordered to active duty

You still may qualify - but we need to verify these requirements.

Expert:  Lev replied 1 year ago.

Please be aware that you must have been discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
But the service requirements woudl be as listed above.

So if you were called or ordered to active duty for the full period - 1 year and 11 months - you do qualify for the VA-guaranteed home loan.

If that condition is not met - you woudl need 24 continuous months and woudl not qualify.
