Customer Question

How can I prove that I'm the owner and director of a Delaware Company? There is no official link between me and the company as Delaware doesn't publish the details of stockholders or directors, so I could just pretend that any company there is mine.

There are other forms of proof, such as copies of the articles of incorporation, copies of stock certificates, tax returns, etc.

If those are not available, Delaware offers additional access to their records, including copies of documents filed with them. https://delecorp.delaware.gov/tin/GINameSearch.jsp is the link to that web page. Asking for a certificate of incorporation, for example, would have the name of the original incorporator and other information.

If that is not sufficient, a FOIA (freedom of information act) request is available.

http://sos.delaware.gov/foia_requests.shtml is the web page to file that request.

Thanks for asking at Just Answer. Positive feedback is appreciated. I'm PDtax.
