Hello and thank you for using Just Answer,
No you do not need to mark that also. After you have completed the worksheet on the front of the W-4 form, working to step H. The number on step H is carried onto the Two-Earners/Multiple Jobs Worksheet on page two of the form.
You may not have known this but the IRS has a calculator that may be easier than the worksheet you have.
So, I check "Married, but withhold at a higher single rate", I would be overpaying, correct?
I didn't know that.
Do you have a link to the IRS calc?
Would you like the link
It is so much easier than paper
At the end it will tell you what to place on each W4
If you go to the site it reads, "The Withholding Calculator is temporarily unavailable for maintenance".
Fiscal cliff related? ;-)
I was just in it but it may be because of the congress vote.
It just switched on me
It will be back soon
Ok. Thank you for your response.
You are most welcome but your positive rating is thanks enough.
Did you have another question about withholding before you rate?
Nope. I'll use the calculator and I'm all set. Thanks.
Great. I asked because I am released when you rate and I did not want to leave if you had more.
