You did not indicate which software program you are using.
On the chance you are using either Quicken or Quickbooks, you likely have re-sorted the register.
To change the sort of the register, click on the column headers. For example, if you want to sort by date, click on the top row showing DATE. A second click re-sorts the list in reverse order.
You may have accidentally sorted by alphabetic order or by check number order.

Your advice did not help. First of all, I did tell you that I was using Quicken 2013. Second, your suggestions did not help. Third I do not know why I should pay for support on a brand new software. I want my money back and I want to cancel any "contract" you believe I have with your company. Additonally I note that what I thought I was get was a 7-day free trial membership.
I would not use your services again.
