Hi and welcome to Just Answer!
Unfortunately - There is no posting...Please post again.
The Tax Club has me in a bind. I've requested my 1040 return with attachments without results. I've spent 23,000. when I bought into 'Complete Online Biz.' and I was quickly maneuvered in joining the club for tax prep. and bookkeeping services. I don't know what they have done for me but the only reply was that I owe 2,600.00. I was assured of tax credits for my business which did not take off yet. I received very little assistance and I believe there is fraud involved.
When can the conversation continue? I guess I pressed the wrong tab.
If that is a fraud - you need to contact a local police. For tax purposes - the loss may be deducted.
I see your posing, Please continue the conversation.
I called it fraud yes, but how can the police help from California? The Tax club is N.Y.C. So what should I do?
When you deduct theft losses resulted by the fraud - in case of audit - you would need to provide a proof of the fraud. If you do not have any proof - your deduction might be disallowed. Thus - you need to need a police report as a proof - unless you may proof otherwise...
It looks like a difficult thing--because they are clever. Because they won't disclose their work I have nothing to look at. I've requested an extend to file later.
As I mentioned - if that is not a fraud - you may not claim a theft loss on your tax return.
Well, I shall pursue this because they were very dishonest in their dealing. If there is nothing to hide, then I should receive the details. Thank you, perhaps we'll talk again.
Please be sure to come back if needed. If you feel that is a fraud - that might not be enough to proof your deduction... I am trying to prevent some possible issues with the IRS.
