I am a US citizen who married a diplomat from Guatemala in

I am a US citizen who married a diplomat from Guatemala in August 2011. Guatemala does not tax US diplomat's salaries so her salary paid by Guatemala is exempt and has been treated as exempt for the past 5 years that she has been a diplomat to the US. My question regards XXXXX XXXXX file my tax return for 2011? Married filing jointly or separately? Does my wife need to file anything now that we are married?
