my mom died last month and we found out she had sold 4 houses

Resolved Question:

my mom died last month and we found out she had sold 4 houses and receieved cash payments and never file income taxes for years, how do we handle this?

Hi and welcome to Just Answer!
If these houses were her primary residences and were sold at least two years apart and the capital gain on each was not more than $250,000 - no need to report these sales.
Otherwise - as an executor of her estate - you might be responsible for filing (or correcting ) her tax returns and paying all debts - including tax debts - before any estate may be distributed to beneficiaries.
