Hi I am an online seller and have an angry buyer She called tonight and stated she was going to get me audited is this possible? She lives in another state and is just mad about a return Nothing to do w taxes charged or due? I am not sure if she works for the IRS does this matter?
It sounds as a hollow threat, the IRS do not audit on tips, unless the person making the complaint are employees and the company is fairly large.

would it matter if she worked for them? (irs)
if she did work for the IRS, but not in your state, it would be difficult, but possible. If they abused their position in this way, you could get them fired and sue her also.
