Hello janeirene,

Currently there are no tax benefits or credits offered for employers who offer Employee Assistance Programs or Wellness programs.

Right now, most companies who offer such programs do so in an effort to lower their healthcare costs, reduce absenteeism and boost productivity. But there are no tax credits or incentives in place yet for these programs.

In the new health care legislation which is still being hammered out by congress, there are several bills which would offer a credit for these programs, but until that legislation is finalized we will not know for sure if any credits actually end up being authorized.

Thank you janeirene and let me know if you have more questions.
