Hello king,

What is your question relating to NC sales tax exemptions for farms and manufacturing companies?

Are you asking how to apply for exemption for these two types of businesses?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

We need a Sales Tax Exempt Number For Carolina Bison-3 Westside Drive-Asheville NC 28806 to be able to buy farm equipment and not pay sales tax.

Also need a Sales Tax Exempt Number for King Bio Inc.-3 Westside Drive-Asheville NC 28806 to be able to buy equipment and not pay sales tax.

Thanks for the info.

Hello king,

For your farming business, you will need to complete Form E-585-EA and mail it to the state to receive your exemption number. Here is a link to that form.

For your manufacturing business, you will not actually be issued an exemption number. There is a multi-state form which you should fill out and supply to your vendors which will allow them to exclude sales tax from your purchases. Here is a link to that form.
