what does fica,fed wt,ca st,ca dis mean exactly and this pertains to my taxes and deductions on my pay stubs.this is under my description box under my taxes and deductions,i want to know the definition of all four deduction descriptions.

Hi Sid,

FICA means Social Security Tax

FED WT means Federal Income Tax withheld

CA ST means Ca State Income Tax withheld

CA SDI is Ca's state disability insurance withheld

If you see Medicare or HI on your stub, that is part of the Social security tax withheld.

Those abbreviations you gave are not standard however, they may read that way, but if a computer generated the check, you'll see slightly different variations of the abbreviations.
