The sales tax in Minnesota for most items is 6.5 percent.

Please find here local sales tax rates - http://taxes.state.mn.us/sales/publications/fact_sheets_by_name/content/BAT_1100111.pdf

Clothing is exempt. Clothing means all human wearing apparel suitable for general use. Clothing does not include clothing accessories or equipment, sports or recreational equipment, and protective equipment, which are taxable. - see detai;s in this publication - http://taxes.state.mn.us/sales/publications/fact_sheets_by_name/content/BAT_1100085.pdf

Can you provide all states that are exempt from sales tax on clothing ?

Or all States that charges sales tax on clothing?
Expert:  Lev replied 10 years ago.

I do not have such information ready. Based on experience - just a few states excluded clothing from sales taxes.

Complete answer for each state would take some time. Do you need the answer urgently?
