At what age do you stop getting earned income credit

Customer Question

What age is the cut off to file your children for earned income credit?

To qualify as eligible for the earned income credit, the child must have been under age 19 at the end of 2006, or under 24 if still a full time student.

Just as an FYI, this is different from the child tax credit which requires your child be under age 17 at the end of 2006.

I hope this helps!
