The p0032 indicates a problem with the oxygen sensor. Subaru calls it an air fuel ratio sensor. If it is completely dead or giving out the wrong signal it can cause the engine to backfire and miss, albeit not very common. Do you plan to fix it on your own? They are fairly easy to replace.
