Ok

Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key on?

Expert:  Mike V. replied 2 months ago.

Also, this a 2.5L engine?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
it is the 2.5L no the engine light doesn't but the fuel light does and stays on even after you take the key out of the ignition.

Ok, first thing I need you to do is check fuse labeled SBF 5 in the fuse box under the hood. It's a fusible link, square with a clear top. Look in and make sure it's not blown. If you can't tell a meter could be used to check continuity.

Also, check fuse #5 in the same box.

If both of these fuses look good, then we have to check for power on the solid green wire coming off the ignition switch with the switch in the on position. Please check these and let me know.

Thanks.

both the fuses were good and there was power on the green wire.

Sorry for the delay. This tells me the ignition relay should be working.

Going to need to have you check the yellow/blue stripped wires on the ecm wiring harness. It has to be plugged into the computer for this test. These two wires are right next to each other on the connector. This is going to test the main relay and that it's being activated and sending power to the ecm.

Please let me know.

Thanks.
