Where can I buy a lock up duty cycle solenoid for 2011

Customer Question

where can I buy a lock up duty cycle solenoid for 2011 outback
JA: Are you fixing your Outback yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It is in a transmission shop. The solenoid has been tested and bad. Do not want to pay $1,236.00 for whole unit.
JA: When was your transmission fluid last checked?
Customer: When the trouble started a week ago.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope.

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question.

The solenoids are not manufactured and sold separately, only as part of the whole valve body. Unfortunately no one is making them aftermarket either as I have tried finding them for my customers in the past and they just dont exist.

So you will either have to purchase a new valve body or find a used one from a salvage yard

My apologies as I missed your response. You are right in it is very hard to find the solenoids. Fortunately I think I have one from a transmission rebuilding company. Lot cheaper than buying the complete control valve assembly.

Ok, glad you were able to source one as they are not sold individually at retail. you are fortunate to find a company willing to sell you one
