Are both non turbo engines?

This shouldn't be any problem at all. They are the same engine. One thing I would do is swap the intake from the blown engine to the new engine and keep it handy in case there are any sensor differences. There should not be, cam and crank sensors should be identical and swapping the intake will take care of any differences there might be with the fuel injectors, they swap right out with the manifold.

This should be an easy swap for you. Transmission will bolt right to it and the rest of the engine configuration is the same. Oil pan, engine mounting, all of it.
