Battery is overcharging. Wife drive it home the other day

Customer Question

Battery is overcharging. Wife drive it home the other day and battery and abs light were on and battery was dead the next morning. Had the battery checked and it was good. So tested the alternator n it was overcharging
JA: Is it just the ABS light? Or is the brake system warning light on, too?
Customer: Yes the brake system light was on also
JA: What is the model/year of your Subaru?
Customer: 04 Subaru Outback h6 35rh anniversary
JA: Are you fixing your Outback yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I was going to fix it myself if it just needed a new alternater. Anything else may be beyond me. So just the battery and alternater test.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope
