Customer Question

I've a 2001 Subaru Forester with a no crank situation. The battery is good and I was just looking to see where the starter relay is that feeds the solenoid.
JA: How many miles are on the car? How old is the battery?
Customer: Don't know the exact mileage but less then 100K, and the battery is a couple of years old but is fully charged and reads 12.69 at the terminals. The headlights are strong and indicate that the battery also is not the problem.
JA: Are you fixing your Forester yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, I'm taking the first look at it and besides verifying the battery is OK, there is oil in the crankcase so it's not seized. I'm not getting noises from under the hood so I wanted to find the starter relay and check it out.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: The main fuse, SBF-1 looks intact, as do all the fuses under the hood, and in the passenger section.
