Driving home from the mountains yesterday and check engine

Customer Question

Driving home from the mountains yesterday and check engine light, traction control, brake lights came on and cruise control indicator was flashing. Checked the codes P1718, P0700, U0122.
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: Brake light and cruise light flash
JA: What is the model/year of your Subaru?
Customer: 2011 Outback
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm a shade tree mechanic and it's over 100 degrees outside. Someone else can fix it.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Didn't notice anything unusual. Just that the car had sat at 7000 feet for a few hours before starting and driving home (sea level)

was it shifting normal? have you tried to reset the engine light?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Shifting was normal although we were on the freeway the full time and it was down hill so most of the time my foot was not on the gas pedal. I haven't tried to reset the code lamp.
