My 2009 forester was transport shipped to Florida from New

Customer Question

My 2009 forester was transport shipped to Florida from New Hampshire, dec.12,2015 & off loaded dec. 19. I picked it up dec. 31. When I started it & shifted to reverse it didnt move .i then shifted to drive & hit the gas, after a loud mechanical noise, in the lower rear, it moved forward & I have had no further problems with its mechanical operation since. I never use the parking brake & thought perhaps the rear wheels locked with it set while in trans port.
