Is it a good idea to purchase a 2005 subaru outback limites 2.5 96000 miles. I'm hearing a lot about head gasket and airbag recall.

Thank you. If the vehicle has been well maintained then if the price is good then there is no reason why you should not buy it. Typically if this vehicle was going to have a head gasket issue it would have already had this repaired. Most of the time it appears before this mileage. I would have the vehicle fully inspected by a certified mechanic just to be able to make sure that there are not any issues going on with the vehicle. They can also pressure test the cooling system to see if the head gasket is weak. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.
