I have an 03 outback, and the auto transmission is a Subaru

Customer Question

I have an 03 outback, and the auto transmission is a Subaru remanufactured with about 60,000 miles. The tranny slips when up shifting from 2nd to third, and the severity of the slip lessens as it warms up. It also harshly down shifts under spirited acceleration. I have changed the fluid numerous times that last 5000 miles, and I just dropped the pan, which was very clean!
Do you know what the issue could be?Thank you

is the engine light on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The engine light was previously on, but was due to the knock sensor. I saw no other codes
