Customer Question

I have a 2015 Subaru Forester with CVT. I was attempting to change the oil and I removed the plug for either the transmission or differential (greenish oily fluid). I have changed the oil in nearly a dozen vehicles probably 500 times, but today I feel like an idiot. I have since changed the oil which is very easy, but I can't find where to put the fluid back in. It came out of the pan in the center and the plug is on the bottom.

Hi there,

It sounds like the CVT fluid and not the differential fluid.

HERE is a link to instructions to refill the CVT.

For the record, don't feel like an idiot, it's a common mistake.
