Hi. Have 2008 Impreza (Outback Sport). I cannot get OBD reader to establish a connection. OBD reader works fnie on othe rcar. OBD reader is OBD 2 compliant and brand new. Worked once, unhooked, came back a few minutes, will no way establish a link now.

I guess the question is: is it the reader or must I check something on the car to reset .

Ok, sorry for the delay, we had a major storm come through and I lost internet.Pin #7 which is a violet wire with a red stripe is the data line at the OBD port.Check and make sure it didn't back out of the connector or that the female end didn't get widened to much to make contact with your reader. There isn't a reset for this, so if the wiring looks good we are going to have to take a meter and check for continuity. Usually the wire backs out though, so let me know.
