Subaru Legacy: I have a 2012 Subaru Legacy that won't accept

Customer Question

I have a 2012 Subaru Legacy that won't accept gas when trying to fill up. We've had the car for one year. This didn't start until we'd had it for nine months. I remember running nearly "on empty" a couple of times and filling up at a gas station has been a problem since then. What could the problem be? What do we need to do so that we can get a full tank smoothly when at a gas station?

Believe it or not there may be spider webs clogging the atmospheric vent,if you need to fill the tank you can disconnect the vent line but it means crawling under the car to get at it

The issue of spider webs in the vent line is the most common thing we see,is this something you would like to try and repair yourself?
